The family of Tom Healy would like to thank all those  who turned up at the opening night of the ‘Wake’ in the Abbey Centre last night, and hope all had a respectfully hilarious time. If you would like to pay your respects, ‘Wake in the West’ will continue on Saturday 11th, Sunday 12th, and again on Thursday 16th, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th.

Ginnelly. The play is set during the wake of Tom Healy who has drank himself to death and now wishes his grave to be a watery one by requesting cremation and the scattering of his ashes at sea. Ballyshannon Drama Society would like to announce that their play for the Three Act Festival Circuit this year will be ‘God of Carnage’ by Yasmina Reza. Auditions will be held in the Abbey Centre on Monday the 13th of October at 8.30. The parts available are 2 males, 2 females, in their forties. All welcome.
