Ballyshannon Shatter Myth in Athlone
Report on Dr. Russell Boyce’s adjudication taken from dramafestival.ie: There’s a myth that Neil Simon’s plays don’t work on this side of the Atlantic. But All Ireland Drama Festival adjudicator Russell Boyce said it was nice to see how Ballyshannon Drama Society’s production of “The Gingerbread Lady” shattered that myth. Final Results Weekend
Ballyshannon Drama Society wait with bated breath for the last sets of results of the All Ireland Amateur Drama Festival to come in. Ballyshannon are awaiting three sets of results this weekend: Strabane on Friday 28th of March, Glenamaddy and Mid-Ulster (Carrickmore) on Saturday 28th of March. The results of these festivals will determine whether or not ‘The Gingerbread Lady’ will proceed to the All Ireland Final in the Dean Crowe Theatre in May. Results will be posted online here as soon as they are known.
Four Roads to Glenamaddy…
Fresh from a strong performance in Shercock on Tuesday night, cast and crew of ‘The Gingerbread Lady’ (whih usually number around 16 people) hit the road again today for the Glenamaddy Drama Festival. The show begins at 8pm in the Community Hall. The adjudicator at the festival is Tom Byrne.
