Have you always been interested in acting, but don’t know where to start? Would you like to get more involved in local drama? Have you promised yourself that you will follow through on your 2016 new year’s resolution to pursue your dreams? Then Ballyshannon Drama Society is here to help!
Ballyshannon Drama Society will host an acting workshop in the Abbey Centre, Ballyshannon, on Saturday the 30th of January. This workshop is open to anyone with an interest in acting, regardless of age or experience. It will run from 10am to 5pm, and will cover different aspects of acting, performance and stagecraft.
The facilitator for the workshop is John Carty of the Blue Raincoat Theatre Company. John has extensive experience in acting, directing, and production as well as theatre education, so you will be in very good hands indeed! John is no stranger to Ballyshannon drama, of course, having been the adjudicator in the Ballyshannon Drama Festival in 2015.
The fee is €20 for adults, €10 for students, and will include lunch. The workshop is limited to 20 places, so book early to avoid disappointment!
