Auditions will be held in the Abbey Centre on Monday the 13th of October at 8.30. The parts available are 2 males, 2 females, in their forties. All welcome.

Ginnelly.  After a life devoted to drink, it is no surprise that Tom Healy’s final wish it to be buried in the drink – at sea that is. The neighbours, one by one, pour into Healy’s front room to ‘pay their respects’, though not all come to pray…

Ballyshannon Drama on RTE ‘Drama On One’ Tonight

Tune in to ‘Drama on One’ on RTE Radio 1 at 8pm tonight to hear Anne Mc Hugh, John Travers and Conor Beattie talk about their experiences on the amateur drama festival circuit this year. The interview was recorded in the RTE studio in Athlone on the weekend of the All Ireland Final. The interview will be broadcast around 8.45, following the next play in the P.J. O’Connor Awards series.

As hosts of this year’s All Ireland One Act Drama Finals, Ballyshannon Drama Society will present a new website for the event: oneactfinals.ie. The site will be of particular relevance to groups participating in the competition, but it will also have information about activities over the weekend and local accommodation as well as photos from the shows themselves. An early version of the site will be live in the coming days.
